Update 01/21/2020: Thank you for your interest in receiving free reusable bags. At this time, all of the reusable bags have been requested and there are none remaining for distribution to organizations. You are still welcome to submit a request form, in the event that more bags are available in the future.
In support of the Cuyahoga County Disposable Bag Ban that goes into effect on January 1, 2021, the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District has purchased 25,000 reusable shopping bags to distribute. Local organizations that serve the public such as senior centers, food pantries, libraries and social service organizations may request a supply of free bags to give out.
To request a supply of bags, please complete and return the form below so we can begin processing your request. The District will review all requests and orders will be filled on a first-come, first served basis to eligible organizations until the bags are gone.
Bags will be distributed beginning in Mid-January and must be picked up at the Solid Waste District facility in Garfield Heights. If you are selected to receive free bags, you will be contacted to schedule a pick-up time and date.
